Why Physics Unlocked Exists
Most physics education follows a formula that hasn’t changed in a century: write the equation on the board, work through an example, assign twenty problems from a textbook, repeat. Students who are naturally mathematical survive it. Everyone else loses confidence, decides they’re “not a physics person,” and moves on.
But here’s what the research actually shows: the students who struggle aren’t less intelligent. They’re being taught in a way that skips the most important step — building genuine physical intuition before introducing the math. When you understand why a ball thrown upward slows down before it falls, the equation that describes it clicks instantly. When you’re handed the equation first and told to trust it, you’re memorizing, not learning.
Physics Unlocked exists to fix the sequence. Every lesson we write starts with the physical reality — what’s actually happening, what you can see, feel, and reason about — and only then introduces the mathematics as a precise language to describe what you already understand. The result is knowledge that sticks, not formulas that fade the morning after an exam.
